Hugh P. Redmon

Hugh P. Redmon, 94, of 401 East 22nd. Street, Owensboro, died Saturday, August 16, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Louisville, Ky. and retired as a mechanic from Standard Oil Co. of Kentucky and Chevron U.S.A. of California after 41 years of service. He was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church where he has been very active. He was a Deacon for 38 years, the church clerk for 29 years, Sunday School Superintendant for 7 years, and the Director of Training Union for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Hugh David Redmon on May 13, 2002.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Bernice Dixon Redmon, a granddaughter, Robin Lynn Redmon of Sidney, Ohio, a grandson, Hugh Allen Redmon of Amelia, Ohio, 3 Great Grandchildren, and a sister, Nina Lee Martin of Louisville, Ky.
Services will be Monday, August 18, 2003, at 2:00 P.M. at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M.
