Hugh Benjamin Bosley

Hugh Benjamin Bosley, Jr., 72, of Owensboro died Friday, November 29, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro to the late Hugh Benjamin Bosley, Sr. and Catherine Osborne Bosley. He served in the United States Air Force and upon returning home helped his parents turn the Moonlite Bar-B-Q into the landmark it is today. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather. Hugh was a generous man, the champion of the underdog and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He also loved a good card game. He loved to cook and share good food with friends, families and strangers; it was a large part of his giving nature.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sue Bosley; daughters, Jeanie Bosley Heath and her husband Tracy of Owensboro, Lisa Bosley and her husband Reid Livingston of Berea and Vicky DeNeal and her husband Brian of Junction, IL; grandchildren, Lindsay Heath, Jonathan Heath, Benjamin Livingston, Cora Livingston, Erin Woolen, Byron Howard, and David Matthews, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Alice Woolen and Adrian Howard; siblings, Ken Bosley and his wife Moretta, Jerry Bosley and his wife Deede, Fred Bosley and his wife Beverly, and Janet Howard; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Noon on Monday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will be private.
