Howard D. Boucher

October 16, 1924 — February 10, 2005

Howard D. Boucher, 80, of Utica, died Thursday, February 10th at Owensboro Medical Health System.

Howard was retired from General Electric in 1986. His hobbies included fishing, spending time with his family and painting or sketching pictures for friends and acquaintances.

He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Joe Ellis Lodge at Pleasant Ridge. He had served as a Mason for fifty-three years.

Boucher, a native of Allen County, was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert & Minnie Boucher, and twelve siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Maxine; a son, Darrell and wife, Debra, of Thibadeaux. Louisiana; two daughters- Sharon Powell of Beaver Dam and Dana King of Newburgh, Indiana. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Allison Powell of Beaver Dam and grandson Max King of Newburgh and a step-grandson, Eric Powell, of Utica.

Visitation is Saturday, February 12th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Services will be Sunday, February 13th at 2:00 at the funeral home; however, there will be no visitation on Sunday. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Masonic Rites will be conducted Saturday evening at 6:30 at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center at Owensboro Medical Health System. (Envelopes are available at the funeral home).
