Hershell Gayle Ellis

Hershell Gayle Ellis, 68 of 2841 Old Masonville Loop, Utica, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Morgan County native was born to the late Orville and Maxey (Caskey) Ellis. He was a member of Owensboro Christian Church, and took many mission trips out of the country. He was a very generous man with a heart of gold, and considered the best husband and father by his family. He worked as an electrician for Sweedish Match, and also belonged to the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Esther Ellis of Utica, a son; Roger Keith Ellis, his wife Kathy, and their daughter; Katie, and a daughter; Rhonda Gail Kircher, her husband Jamie, and children; Landon and Madison, all of Ohio County.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and also Thursday after 8:30 a.m.
