Herman J. Wethington

Herman J. Wethington, 83, passed away on October 10, 2011, at the Owensboro Medical Health System.
Mr. Wethington was born in Daviess County, KY on December 20, 1927, the son of the late Mr. Joseph Gregory Wethington and Mrs. Mary Ellen Payne Wethington. He was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers.
Mr. Wethington was a U. S. Navy veteran serving both as a Photographer and a Meteorologist.
After his tour of duty, Mr. Wethington returned to Owensboro to raise his family. He was a man of many interest and never tired of learning new things. He was a man of great kindness and humor and will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
Mr. Wethington is survived by his wife of 59 years, Louise Hamilton Wethington and his five daughters; Lydia, Cathy, Jackie, Peggy and Janice, two grandsons, Alan and Collin, two great-grandsons, Jared and Aiden.
There will be no visitation or services. Mr. Wethington's wishes were to be cremated, with burial at a later date.
