Herman E. Keiser, 88, of Owensboro died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Owensboro Memorial Health Systems. He had retired from the City of Owensboro from the Street Department, served in the Army during World War II, was a member of First Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing and UK Basketball. Mr. Keiser was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Christine Keiser; and his parents, Herman and Irene Keiser.
Survivors include his sons, David Keiser and his wife Betty and Daniel Keiser and his wife Edna all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Danielle Nichols (Jason), Christopher Keiser (Missy), Jonathan Keiser and Rob Holderby (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Sara Nichols, Shelby Nichols, Kristina Nichols, Kaylee, Nichols, Cali Sheriff and Caydence Holderby; a brother, George W. Keiser; and a sister, Imogene Clark.
Services will be held on Tuesday at Noon in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center.
