Herman Bittman

Herman Bittman, 92, of 2701 Frederica Street, Owensboro, died Monday, January 20, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Russia on September 18, 1910 the son of Samuel and Jennie Raim Bittman. He immigrated in 1920 at age 10. His wife, Pauline Ida Levine Bittman, preceded him in death in 1973.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and enjoyed riding his bicycle and spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son, Stanley Bittman of Owensboro; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Harry Spurrier. Burial will be in Beth Moses Cemetery on Long Island, NY. His family will receive friends after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
