Herbert F. Bell, 70, of 1302 W. Second Street, Owensboro, died Friday, February 28, 2003 at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. He was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on November 25, 1932 the son of Henry and Maggie Head Bell.
Mr. Bell retired from the city of Owensboro as a truck driver. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Veterans.
Survivors include two son, Kenneth Bell of Tampa, FL and David Bell of Reed; two daughters, Beverly Bell Hagan of Cape Coral, FL and Cindy Sublett of Owensboro; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Roy Bell of Owensboro; two sisters, Virginia Bollinger of Owensboro and Beatrice Clauson of Minnesota; several nephews and nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Bob Petersen. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 03, 2003 and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. A VFW service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
