Henry Bryant Stephens

Henry B. Stephens, Sr., 88, of Owensboro, departed his earthly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 1, 2008. Born November 25, 1919 to the late Harden and Ora Gertrude Simpson Stephens in Christian County, he was a member of Third Baptist Church and retired from General Electric after 36 years service in manufacturing and where he served as Union President and Recording Secretary. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Pauline Stephens, the love of his life.

Survivors include sons, Henry B. Stephens, Jr. and his wife, Dottie of Lexington, Dr. Robert C. Stephens and his wife, Dr. Joy Stephens of Parkland, FL; daughters, Paula A. Powell and her husband, Ron of Louisville, Janice K. Glasser and her husband, Dr. Jack Glasser of Bowling Green, and Mary Jane Prather and her husband, Jeff of Wheaton, IL; grandchildren, Brian Stephens, Amber Ruffner, Stephen and Todd Powell, Kelly and Lauren Glasser, Clark Stephens and David Prather; and eight great-grandchildren.

At Mr. Stephen's request, services are private with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Glenn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
