Helena Audrey Fischer

Audrey Payne Fischer, 93, of 311 E. 23rd Street, Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at the Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky., was a homemaker, and a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. and the St. Martins Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards, raising flowers, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Fischer on February 17, 1982, a son, Bernard Joseph Fischer on February 3, 2004, a daughter, Mary Fay Fischer on July 4, 1947, a grandson, Allen Joseph Wink on March 17, 1997 and his wife Terri Wink on January 7, 2004.

Surviving is a son, Sylvester Robert Fischer of Owensboro, seven daughters, Pauline Wink of Utica, Barbara Ann Stallings, Sister Helena Fischer, Jean Blandford, Martha Drury Long, Rose Hodgkins, and Janie Howard, all of Owensboro, 31 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, June 10, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial following in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
