Helen Stinson Rose

Mrs. Helen Stinson Rose, 88, of 2501 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, died Sunday, January 8 , 2006 at the Carmel Home. She was born November 22, 1917 to the late Lawrence and Nell Scott Stinson in Chicago, IL. She retired from Glenmore Clothing Store and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She was always active in scouting, youth baseball and she enjoyed fishing. She was a loving mom, enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, after 50 years of marriage, Elwood Rose,in 1986, her son, Bruce Rose in 2005, her grandson, Ben Rose in 2001 and her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Rose in 2003.

Survivors include her sons, David Rose of Owensboro and Kent Rose and his wife, Kay of Newburgh, IN, daughter-in-law, Sandra Rose of Owensboro; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
