Helen D. Phillips

Helen D. Phillips, 99, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Owensboro, went to meet the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Parkview Care Center in Evansville. She was born February 11, 1918 in Butler Co. to the late Ben and Sally Coates Embry. Helen was a member of First Christian Church in Evansville where she actively participated in the "Fuzzy Ladies" knitting group. She was retired from General Electric after 30 years of service and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and crafts. Helen was also preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Phillips in 1993, two brothers, two sisters, and a stepson. `

Surviving are her daughters, Linda Wentzel of Evansville and Marie Allen of Kennesaw, GA, a stepson, Johnny Phillips, seven grandchildren, Stacey Boyd, Carmel Woolsey, David Thomason, Alan Thomason, Marshall Phillips, Johnny Phillips, and Danny Phillips, and a number of great and great great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 27, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
