Helen Marie Logsdon Owen

Helen Marie Logsdon Owen, 79, of 3125 Chickasaw Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Dec. 21, 1929 in Muhlenburg Co. to the late Estil T. and Lena Johnson Logsdon. She had been a waitress for many years having worked at Gabes Restaurant and then in the Patio Dining Room at the Executive Inn. She was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church, enjoyed raising flowers, decorating her house for the various holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Lung Rangers and the Pulmonary Pals at the Healthpark. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Dub" Owen in 1978, a son, Ronnie Owen in 1992, and a brother, Charles Logsdon.

Surviving are four daughters, Brenda Higdon and husband Bobby of Philpot, Debbie Dykes and husband Brad of Bedford, IN, Stacy Montgomery and husband Robert of Fordsville, and Jennifer Bolin and husband Rusty of Owensboro, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Doretha Owen of Owensboro, and several brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, October 13, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Oakhill Cemetery in Livermore. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Rangers and Pulmonary Pals Support Groups, c/o of the O.M.H.S. Healthpark, 1006 Ford Ave., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
