Helen Robertson Lovett

Helen Robertson Lovett, 101, passed away in Paducah under the care of Superior Care Home-Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 9, 1917 in Paducah, to the late Ryan Alvin and Carrie Beyer Cooley. Following high school and marriage, she moved with her husband to Murray and Bowling Green, coming to Owensboro in 1946. Mrs. Lovett was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered as the wedding coordinator. She also volunteered with the former Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital in the outpatient cardiac care center. A lover of flowers, she was a cofounder of The Home and Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roby Thomas Robertson and Wells T. Lovett.
Helen is survived by her children, Anne Speck and her husband Vic of Paducah, and Ryan Robertson and his wife, Vicki, of Owensboro; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A private service of committal, officiated by the Rev. Christine Coy Fohr, was held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory was entrusted with arrangements.
