Helen Mary Lacy

Helen Mary Lacy, 96, of Owensboro passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital. Mrs. Lacy was born in Lakeland, FL and was a graduate of Transylvania University. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a charter member of both the Owensboro Area Doll Club and the local PEO Chapter, the Daviess County Medical Auxiliary and the Friendship Investment Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Clinton Lacy in 1983, her parents, Claude Owen Pinch and Helen Mae Cumley Pinch, and her brothers, Bill Pinch and Jack Pinch.

Mrs. Lacy is survived by her children Marcia Ann (Bill) Carlyle of Morristown, TN, Barbara Sue (Joe) Kurre of Bristol, TN, Robert M. "Bob" (Lessley) Lacy of Owensboro, and Dr. William O. "Bill" (Karen) Lacy of Louisville; eight grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her sister, Jan Howson of Columbus, OH, and her devoted caregiver Ann Tafarella.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. A service of committal will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Christ Chapel Mausoleum at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, where interment will follow. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the memorial fund of First Presbyterian Church.
