Helen Marie Zoglmann Krampe, 75, of Owensboro died Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born February 18, 1930 to the late Henry Zoglmann and Margaret Tong Zoglmann, she was a homemaker and teacher. She received her Associate degree in education at Brescia College and taught at Stanley, Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Martin. She was a graduate of the last class at St. Joseph High School in Owensboro. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church at Rome where she was a lector. Mrs. Krampe belonged to the Altar Society, the Rosary Makers, and Church Bereavement Committee. She enjoyed teaching, crafts, crossword puzzles, watching UK Basketball, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Krampe on August 30, 2003 and three brothers, Richard, Kenneth, and Michael Zoglmann.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Leesa and Rick Moman of Owensboro; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Sue Krampe of Masonville, Mark and Kim Krampe, and Keith and Sherry Krampe of Owensboro, nine grandchildren, Austin Moman, Samantha Krampe, Emily Krampe, Nicholas Krampe, Rachel Krampe, Kelby Krampe, Christopher Krampe, Allison Krampe, and Natalie Krampe, and twin granddaughters expected in May; three brothers, William Zoglmann of Maceo, Pat Zoglmann of Owensboro, and Robert Zoglmann of Elizabethtown; and a sister, Mary Ann Higdon of Whitesville.
Funeral services are 11 A.M. Thursday, February 24, 2005 at St. Martin Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 P.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and after 9 A.M. Thursday. Prayers will be said at 7:30 P.M on Wednesday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the r Oncology Education Department for the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center at the Owensboro Medical Health System.
