Helen M. Jones

Helen M. Jones, 82, of Owensboro, passed away on November 20, 2025. She was born in Owensboro on April 23, 1943, to the late William Jr. and Edna Jones.

Helen was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended. Helen also cherished moments of reading stories and caring for children in the nursery. She worked for Harold’s Cleaners for thirty-eight years and took great pride in the work she did there. Helen built lasting friendships and enjoyed playing BINGO and cards with her friends and family and was an avid fan of U.K. basketball.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Jones III; sisters, Jerrie Dean Morris, Christie Beaven and Patty Rucker.

She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Watkins, Beverly McIntosh, and Mary Lou Riley, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
