Helen Marie Hulsey

Helen Marie Hulsey, 89, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 at her home. She was born on November 16, 1923 in Portland, TN to the late Seaton and Dona Drum Lee. She was of the Baptist faith and had retired from the Internal Revenue Service as an agent and a tax return preparer. She also had worked at Glenmore Distillaries and Krogers. Helen enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, drawing, cooking, making crafts, and sewing. In her younger years, she enjoyed painting and playing the guitar. She also would hold Tupperware and Stanley Home Products parties. She was also preceded in death by her husband, D W "Bill" Hulsey in May of 1992, a grandson, Michael Ray Hulsey, three sisters, Eva Nell Hall, Evelyn Mitchell, and Ruth Chapman, and a stepbrother, William.

Surviving are her sons, Randell and wife Joyce Hulsey, Allen and wife Nancy Hulsey, and Warren Hulsey, all of Owensboro, 11 grandchildren, Lisa Mourning, Keith Hulsey, Richard Hulsey, Jeff Hulsey, Samantha Hulsey, Eva Marie Hulsey, Jody Howard, Matthew Howard, Virgil Howard, Sherri Marlene Sapp, and Kevin Lynn Hulsey, 21 great grandchildren, and a sister, Gertrude Henderson of Knoxville, TN.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 7 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
