Helen Colbert Hopkins

Helen Colbert Hopkins, 92, of 2017 Clinton Place West, Owensboro, died Friday, September 19, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born July 30, 1911, to Hulman and Margaret Marsch Colbert, in Hancock County. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Stephen Cathedral, and enjoyed her family, children, and her flowers. She was a loving and caring person to everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Hopkins, two daughters, Nancy Becker of Bowling Green, and Mary Margaret Porter of Collinsville, IL, three grandchildren, Amy Porter Reynolds of St. Louis, MO, Richard Theodore Porter,III of Troy,IL, and Sarah Becker of Bowling Green, two great-grandchildren, Caroline Reynolds and Mary Kathryn Reynolds, both of St. Louis,Mo, and one sister, Kate Bird of Mt. Pleasant, NC.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, at St. Stephen Cathedral, with burial in the Lewisport Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 till 7:00 PM, Sunday, and after 10:00 AM Monday, at the Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
