Helen Louise Haywood, 78, (formerly of Owensboro), passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. Born March 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John Randolph and Frances Fulkerson Haywood; was a homemaker; member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Helen charmed all who crossed her path, she never met a stranger. Her family will greatly miss her zest for life, her laughter, and the love she freely showered on family and friends. In addition to her family, she loved playing Bingo, cards, and crossword puzzles. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by brothers, George Haywood and William Roberts and a sister, Queenie Green.
Survivors include daughters, Peggy (and Mike ) Moyer and Cynthia Cain of Indianapolis, and Cathy Cain of Owensboro; a son, Mike (and Judy) Cain of Owensboro; grandchildren, Gary Bean, Jerry Bean, Sharon Perkins, Amanda Moyer, Nathan Rice, Kristen Cain, James Cain and Christopher Cain; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial following in St. William Cemetery in Knottsville. Visitation will be from 3-8 P.M. on Friday and after 10 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home where prayers will be said at 6 P.M. Friday evening.
