Helen Maxine Fleischmann

Helen Maxine Jones Fleischmann, 83, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully in to the Lord's arms, Friday, January 9, 2015 surrounded by her family at the Owensboro Center. She was born July 10, 1931 in Daviess Co., KY to the late Bernard Cecil and Edith Frances Millay Jones. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Canteen Service Co. She was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and former member of the Legion of Mary. Maxine loved spending time with her grandchildren, U.K. basketball, dancing, and watching the World Series. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Brown, and a brother, Joe Jones.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Melvin J. Fleischmann, three daughters, Mary Edel Fischer of Owensboro, Anne Elizabeth (Dale) Payne of Rockport, IN, and Helen Marie (Mark) Roberts of Maceo, two sons, Andrew Joseph Fleischmann (fianc Andrea Roach) and Jonathan Lee (Angela) Fleischmann, all of Owensboro, 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Brenda Willard of Bonne Terre, MO and Linda (Jerry) Ebelhar of Sorgho, and two brothers, Don (Margaret Ann) Jones of Philpot and David (Linda) Jones of Whitesville.

Maxine and Melvin were very loving parents to the many foster children that they cared for.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 12, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church celebrated by Father Carl McCarthy. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday with prayers at 7:30 P.M. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Sts. Joseph and Paul.
