Helen C. Crowson

Helen C. Crowson, 83, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, June 16 while visiting family in Zuni, Virginia. Mrs. Crowson was born April 18, 1934 in Phoebus, Virgina to the late Walter and Deanie Whaley Coston. Helen was a Christian and devoted member of Bellevue Baptist Church who loved reading her bible every day. She was an avid quilter and lover of arts and crafts. After she raised her children, Helen retired from the Holiday Inn after working there for 20 years.

Mrs. Crowson was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Clarence Roy Crowson in 2005.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Debby Fuchs of Owensboro, Deanie May and husband Steve of West Grove, Pennsylvania; sons, Tim Crowson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Miles Crowson and wife Kerri of Richmond, Virginia; sister Dorothy Norris; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The service will be noon Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Greg Faulls officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM.
