Helen Beatrice Bartle Bolstridge

Helen Beatrice Bolstridge, 83, of Lewisport, formerly of Longdale, Oklahoma passed from this life to be with her savior on Monday, July 30, 2007 at Heartland Villa in Lewisport. Mrs. Bolstridge was born September 24, 1923 in Okeene OK to the late Herman and Pearl Bartel. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Longdale. She was preceded in death of her loving husband Percy Bolstridge, who passed away Aug. 18th 1986.
She and her husband Percy lived in Florida for several years before retiring to her family farm in Oklahoma and building a home there. She and her husband were known for loving life, family and friends. She loved to can vegetables and have picnics. She was a tremendous cook and made sure you ate more than enough. She loved to dance and spend time with family and friends. Recently she moved to Kentucky to be nearer her daughter. She will be remembered for her laugh and the tears she always shed on the departure of a family visit.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Stewart and her husband Raymond of Lewisport; a granddaughter, Pam Stirewalt and her husband Shawn of Ashville, N.C.; three grandsons, Joe Marksberry and his wife Crystal of Utica, Ed Marksberry and his wife Lori of Owensboro, Jimmy and his wife Karee of Utica; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clint Bartel and his wife Vada of Cannon City Colorado, Edward Earl Bartel and his wife Pat of Longdale, Oklahoma; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4th at the Longdale Gymnasium in Longdale OK with burial in Longdale Cemetery. There will be visitation Friday, Aug. 3rd at 5 p.m. 8 p.m. at Heigler- Pierce Funeral Home in Canton, OK and after 10 A.M. Saturday at the Longdale Gymnasium.
