Helen June Zobjeck Boling, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011. She was born December 29, 1926 in Gary, Indiana to Hugo (Hoag) and Laura Helen Brown Zobjeck. She married Curtis E. Boling on June 5, 1946. Helen worked at S.W. Anderson's for many years, then worked for Marvin Markets for many more. She was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and a sister, Marjorie Keohane. Surviving are three children, Sharon Boling Winslow of Columbus, OH., Jerry (Alice) Boling of Chesapeake, VA., and Patti Golden of Clarksville, TN., six grandchildren, Jane Anne (James) Decker, Jonathan (Amy) Boling, Jason Boling, Sara (CJ) Lennon, Adam Golden and Rachel Golden, eight great-grandchildren, Calvin, Payton, Emily, Danny, Bailey, Riley, Nick and Alex, a sister, Nevilyn Scandura of Cincinnati, OH., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday after 1:00 p.m. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
