Helen Corrine Payne Bellwood

Helen C. Payne Bellwood, 85, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro on January 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Helen Payne Bowman; was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church; and was retired from Hon where she worked in the office for 30 years. Mrs. Bellwood enjoyed gardening and was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Bellwood and a brother, Edward Payne.

Surviving are her children, Richard (Suzette) Bellwood of Sparks, NV, Deborah (Charles) Koressel of Evansville, Donna Bellwood of Owensboro, Joseph Bellwood of Owensboro, and Mike (Cynthia) Bellwood of Central City; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins.

Services are 12 noon on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Father John Meredith officiating followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at7 p.m. on Thursday.
