Hazel Ruby Gilmore, 73, of 2768 Flamingo Ave., Owensboro, died Monday, January 13, 2003 at her home. The Muhlenberg County native was retired from teh American Tobacco Company and was a member of the Auxillaries of the VFW, Amvets, and American Legion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Gilmore in 1994.
She is survived by three sons, Russell Abrams of Owensboro, Greg Abrams of Louisville, and Steve Abrams of Chatsworth, GA; four daughters, Judi Perkins of Hartland, ME., Ruby Ellen Peacock and Keisha Harper of Philpot, and Gail Mullen of Owenbsoro; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister Ellen Payne of Central City.
Funeral services are 10 A.M. Thursday, January 16, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Unity Cemetery in Greenville, KY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-8 P.M. on Wednesday and after 9 A.M. on Thursday.
