Hazel Marie Barnett

Hazel Marie Barnett, 74, of Fern Terrace Suites, Owensboro, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at Wellington Parc. She was born September 22, 1929, to the late Russell and Louise Crutcher Barnett, in Daviess County. She was retired after 39 years as a supervisor of field training at Texas Gas, she attended Philpot elementary, graduated from Daviess County High School, and Georgetown College. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, she loved music and enjoyed playing the organ and piano, she had played for Buena Vista Baptist and Bellevue Baptist churches.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Barnett, who died in 1991.

Survivors include several cousins, Bill and (Doris) Baker of Masonville, Randall and (Vetress) Baker, Betty and (John) Connor, both of Owensboro, Ann and (Armel) Gray, Edna and (Fred) Watts, both of Philpot, Ira and (Ann) Johnstone of Madisonville, Darrell and (Julie) Crutcher of Hanson, Bobby Gene and (Tina) Crutcher of Lakeland, FL, (Mary Lou) Johnston of Sheveport, LA, Jean Korthage of Louisville, Margaret Thompson of Sunapee, NH, and Jim Baker of Worthington OH.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2004 and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church Bldg. Fund, 519 West Byers Avenue, Owensboro, KY, 42303.
