Hattie Faye Cain, 83, of Lexington, formerly of Owensboro, died December 3, 2013 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born March 16, 1930 in Butler County to the late Ed and Gertrude Embry Flener. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She also was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles "Shorty" Glendle Cain; a sister, Hettie Mae Brooks and a brother, Hulie Flener.
Surviving are her children, Wayne (Louise) Cain of Owensboro; Ed (Linda) Cain of Smyrna, TN; Barry (Cathy) Cain of Lexington; grandchildren, Wayne (Billie), Scott (Alicia), Jeff (Kristi) Cain, Tracy Edge, Charlie (Ashley), Joshua and Sara Cain.
Services will be noon Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Friday, December 6, 2013 and after 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Owensboro Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
