Harvey H. Hurst

Harvey H. Hurst, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born April 14, 1929 in Daviess Co. to the late Harvey B. and Mary Irene Bryant Hurst. He was retired as an insurance agent with National Life Insurance Co. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family, and watching Nascar racing. He also loved spending his winters in Florida. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Beatrice "Bea" Mayes and a brother, Bobby Hurst.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Hattie Roby Hurst, two sons, Kenneth H. Hurst and wife Sandy of Whitesville and David Hurst and wife Dinna of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Kenneth Anthony Hurst and wife Robin of Lebanon, TN, Christopher Todd Hurst and wife Mary of Whitesville, Davy Paul Hurst and wife Angela and Misty Mitchell and husband Tim, all of Owensboro, and Christy Hurst of Owensville, IN, nine great grandchildren, Dylan Hurst and wife Shannon, Alexis Nicole Hurst, Jordan Camille Hurst, Jonas Cole Hurst, Rachel Grace Hurst, Tyler Hurst, Alexa Hurst, Wesley Weafer, and Lauren Mitchell, two great great grandchildren, Aynsley and Addison Hurst, a soon expected great great grandchild, Hunter Aiden Hurst, a sister, Wanda Foster of Habit, a sister-in-law, Faye Hurst of Maceo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 23, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
