Harry A. Kennedy Jr., 95, of Owensboro, KY passed away peacefully Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born April 28, 1922 to the late Harry Kennedy, Sr. and Georgia Owens Kennedy. He was of the Catholic Faith and served in U.S. Navy during WWII. Harry retired from General Electric after 30 years of service and worked as an accountant at Brescia College for 5 years. He was a brilliant calligrapher, an avid golfer and a passionate UK Basketball fan. Harry was also a musician who had played drums in a swing band. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years in 2012, Sue Revlett Kennedy; sister, Ruth Fehder
He is survived by 2 daughters, Carol McLimore and husband Jim of Shepherdsville KY, Connie Hagan and husband Tom of Owensboro; 3 sons, Jerry Kennedy of Owensboro, Tom Kennedy of Rockport IN, and Dean Kennedy and wife Marilyn of Louisville KY

He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; Shawn, Jarrod, Brandon, Jonathan, Benjamin, and Paul Kennedy; Keeley Hagan Lieto and Kelsey Hagan Mercer; Bethany Shaw, Nathan McLimore, Kim Aimone and Lacy Kennedy. Along with 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 niece, Janet Lombardo and 2 nephews, Bob and Steve Fehder.
The service will be at 1PM on Wednesday, September 20th at Rosehill Cemetery Chapel. Visitation will be 10AM until 1PM on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
