Harriett Virginia O''Bryan Graham

Harriett "Hallie" Virginia O'Bryan Graham, 96 died on Friday, November 25, 2011 surrounded by her daughters and the compassionate staff of the Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. She was born on September 22, 1915 at 320 Clay Street, Owensboro to the late William Meigs O'Bryan and Mabel Murphy O'Bryan.

Hallie married Miller Clay Graham on June 18, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Captain John Meigs Graham and David Thomas Graham, and three sisters, Mary Lockie O'Bryan, Georgia O'Bryan Allen, and Margaret "Elizabeth" O'Bryan Castlen.

Following Miller's death in April 1957, Hallie and her children returned from Charlestown, Indiana to the family home on Clay Street. She then worked for Medley Distillary for 18 years. Hallie was a long time member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Parish and for a number of years, a member of Immaculate Parish. Her greatest joy was being with friends and family. She will always be known for how she touched the lives of so many others in such a caring and loving way during her lifetime.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Cecilia "CeCe" O'Bryan Medley, and six daughters and their spouses, Virginia "Ginny" and Thomas Weider, Carolyn and Mike Morrow, Janet and Thomas H. Ebelhar, Jr., Mary Belle Graham, Martha Lee Graham, and Sarah "Mimi" James. She has ten grandchildren, Colonel John Meigs Graham, Jr., Anne Graham Bryer, John Thomas "Jeb" Medley, Anne Medley Davis, Jonathan Graham, Brian Ebelhar, Sarah Ebelhar Melanson, Heather Beeler Sears, Josh Beeler, and Katie James Marks. She has 20 great grandchildren who lit up the gleam in her eyes.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, November 28, at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday with prayers at 6:30 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
