Harold O. Conger

Harold O. Conger, 75, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010. He was born in Marion, Ky. on April 14, 1935 to the late Sammie and Opal Holmes Conger. He was retired after 38 years with Zenith Electronics as a superintendent of the Finish Rooms. He was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church which he loved very much and was very proud to be a deacon. He enjoyed going to area nursing homes and visiting church members and singing with a group for the residents. He also loved spending time with his family, visiting with his neighbors, playing golf, and watching his granddaughters play softball and performing with their high school marching band. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Conger on July 31, 2004 and two brothers, Roy and Harvey Conger.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Murphy and husband Darryl of Owensboro and Deborah Seibert and husband Edward of Cannelton, IN, three granddaughters, Megan Seibert of Cannelton, Sarah and Brittany Murphy of Owensboro, and a great granddaughter, Madison Olberding, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Friday July 9, at Hall Street Baptist Church with burial following in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
