Harold R. Clark

Harold R. Clark, Sr., 95, of Owensboro, went home to Jesus, January 19, 2015 at the Carmel Home. He was born May 4, 1919 in Daviess Co. to the late Virgil D. and Orene Schadler Clark. Harold retired after 30 years as an accountant with Western KY Gas Co. and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church for over 60 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Serra Club. He enjoyed square dancing and golfing, U.K. basketball, vegetable and flower gardening, and spending time with his family. He had visited 49 of 50 states. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Teresa Keller Clark on April 6, 2011 and three brothers, Jerry, Eugene and William Clark.

Surviving are his children, Joan Elizabeth Toth and husband James of Mt. Vernon, IN, Father Ray Clark of Whitesville, Patricia Anne Schlesinger and husband Dan of Canon City, Colorado, and Cathy Marie Bowlds and husband Harvey of Owensboro; his grandchildren Kimberly Anne Schlesinger and Catherine Schlesinger, both of Canon City, and Christopher (Ashley) Bowlds, Mary Anne (Bryant) Goldbach, and Michael Bowlds, all of Owensboro, three great grandchildren, Jeremiah Schlesinger, Philippe J. and Annabelle Rose Goldbach, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass for Harold will be 12 Noon Thursday, January 22, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday with prayers at 6:30 P.M. and from 10:00-11:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family would like to thank the Sisters and Staff at the Carmel Home and
Dr. Sayed and the nursing staff of the 8th floor of Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for the compassionate care they gave Harold. They give a special thanks to Harold's neighbor, David Henderson.
