Gwendolyn L. Williams

Gwendolyn L. "Gwennie" Williams, 62, of Owensboro, was born June 8, 1955 to the late George W. Greenfield, Jr. and Anita L. Jackson Owsley. God sent his angels and she went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, March 3, 2018 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.

Gwennie graduated from Owensboro High School and was a member of Owensboro Christian Church. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her father, her stepfather, William R. Owsley, Sr., a brother, William R. Owsley, Jr., a sister, Beverly N. Slaughter, and Jeffrey Nichols.

Surviving are her sons, Peter Williams, Justin Williams, Christopher (Joy) Nichols, and her mother Anita L. Owsley, all of Owensboro, seven grandchildren, brothers, Richard Greenfield of Maryland, George Greenfield III of Ohio, James Greenfield of Florida, and Myron Greenfield of Arizona, sisters, Audrey Henderson, Joyce Floyd, and Willene Husk, all of Owensboro, and several extended family members.

Private services will be held.

Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
