Gwendolyn Paris Roberson

Gwendolyn Paris Roberson, 94, of Owensboro, formerly of New Albany, Indiana, passed away at Owensboro Medical Health System on December 17, 2011. She was born in Glenville, Kentucky to the late Robert W. Paris and Elleo Paris.

Gwendolyn was a loving and dedicated wife and homemaker. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and a longtime and accomplished member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her husband over 50 years, J. Howard Roberson in 1991; her step mother, Elizabeth S. Paris and a sister, Hazel Paris Best.

Gwendolyn is survived by several cousins, including a special cousin, Norma Sue Taylor of Bardstown, Kentucky and dear friends, Rick and Marsha Nash of Owensboro.

The funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens and the Rev. Darren Brandon will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
