Gregory Alan Nelson

Gregory Alan Nelson, 49, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on April 18, 1962 in Henderson Co., Ky. to the late William Edward Nelson, Sr. and Judy Caton Graham. He had worked as an Operations Manager for the McDonalds Corp. Greg was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a U. K. basketball fan and attended most all of the home games.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lori O'Bryan Nelson, his daughter, Bailey Nelson of Owensboro, his grandmother, Bettye Wright of Henderson, a brother, William Edward Nelson, Jr. of Henderson, an aunt, Jonita Stone of Henderson, his mother and father-in-law, William and Adell O'Bryan of Owensboro, and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jennifer (Tom) Welch, Bill (Donna) O'Bryan, Mary (Tony) Moore, and Stephen (Katherine) O'Bryan.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be at 5:30 P.M..
