Ms. Grace Owen Mattingly of Owensboro, age 76 passed away on December 1, 2015 at Heartland Villa in Lewisport. Born on April 19, 1939 in Daviess County to the late Owen and Virginia (Roberts) Payne.
Ms. Mattingly was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, also a member of Homemakers, she loved being with her family and friends, she loved paintings and gardening.
Ms. Mattingly was preceded in death by her parents; husband in June 2015; William Wayne Mattingly; sisters: Paula Payne and Jean Ann Ford.
Ms. Mattingly is survived by her daughters; Sheri (Michael) Burden, Angie (Ricky) Alexander, Lynn (Eric) Jones, sons; Chris (Susie) Mattingly, Mike (Jill) Mattingly, Ronnie (Julie) Mattingly, brothers; Cecil (Francis) Payne, Bob (Doris) Payne, Dave (Debbie) Payne, sisters; Mary (Louis) Aull, Cynthia (Gene) Lanham, Bonnie (Bill) Boarman-Lanham, also 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10am in the St. Williams Catholic Church in Knottsville, with Father Pat Reynolds officiating, visitation will be Friday from 1pm – 7pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in St. Williams Cemetery. Prayers will be Friday at 6:30pm. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations to Right to life, or American Cancer Society.
