Gordon Ellis Knight

Gordon Ellis Knight, 78, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville. He was born in Red Hill on August 5, 1935 to the late Ellis D. and Mary Louise Davis Knight. He was retired from Whirlpool Corp. and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Vernon Knight.

Surviving are a daughter, Betsy (Bob) Eli of Owensboro, three brothers, John (Valrey) Knight of Henderson, William Alfred (Bertha) Knight of Owensboro, and Daniel (Janice) Knight of Robards, three sisters, Carol Cecil of Owensboro, Patricia Kretzer of St. Joseph, MO, and Jacqueline Louise Knight of Chula Vista, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, August 21, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
