Goldie L. Griffith

Goldie L. Griffith, 95, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Methodist Hospital. She was born in Heron, MN to the late Curtis and Ellen Sheffield Leetch; she was a Presbyterian and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. Mrs. Griffith was also preceded in death by her husband, Vern Ray Griffith, a brother, Curtis Leetch (Mickey), and her sister, Charlotte Sandvick (Clarence).

Survivors include her sons, Robert "Bob" Griffith and his wife Patricia and Richard "Dick" Griffith and his wife Kathleen all of Owensboro; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great -grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimers Association.
