Goldie Bill Crowe, 93, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 at home. Born December 21, 1913 in McLean County, Mrs. Crowe was the daughter of the late Charlie and Luda Mae Themster Shaver; was a member of the Thruston United Methodist Church; and retired from the Owensboro Schools and Dennis and Akers Drug Store. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 104 and enjoyed UK basketball and playing cards, and especially, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her husband, Milton C. Crowe, Sr. in 1987.
Survivors include her son, Milton C. (and Carol) Crowe, Jr. of Owensboro; daughters, Joyce Bennett and Sharon Hill of Owensboro, grandchildren, Mike (and Leigh Ann) Crowe of Bowling Green, Andrea (and Brad) Freeman of Lexington, Brad (and Ericka) Hill of Owensboro, David (and Michele) Bennett of Lexington, Jeff (and Cheryl) Bennett of Maryland, Laura (and Danny) Casey and Karen (and Glenn) Hite of Owensboro, Carrie (and Nick) Kiefer of Louisville, and T.J. Bennett of San Diego; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Allen of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Rose Davis officiating followed by burial in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in McLean County. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Saturday and after 12 Noon on Sunday.
