Golda D. Winstead

Golda D. Winstead, 81, of 701 Dixianna Dr., Owensboro, died Monday, March 18, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Muhlenberg County native was retired from General Electric where she was a furnace operator. She was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church and liked to fish.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Fay Carrico and a son, James Otis Sparks.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Husk and Dorothy Troutman both of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Kininmonth of Beaver Dam.

Funeral services are 11 A.M., Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday.
