Glynn "Big Moe" Hazelwood, 84, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February, 28th, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Glynn was born in Daviess County, November 28th, 1931, to the late Jesse and Viola Watson Hazelwood.
Glynn retired early from General Electric due to an injury. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working outside, and providing some P.L.R for his dog, Mojo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louetta Bradley; niece, Patricia Dean Lanham and a nephew, James O. Patterson.
Glynn is survived by his wife of 65 years, JoAnn Roberts Hazelwood; son, Dennis Hazelwood; three granddaughters, Beth Ann King and husband Mark of Maceo, Jill Elaine Guillery of Florida and Jennifer Lamb of Evansville; three great-grandchildren, Adam Ryan King and his wife, Pam of Florida, Haley Rae King of Maceo and Grayson Glynn Guillery of Florida; a great-great granddaughter, Piper Ann King of Florida; nephew, Paul Wayne Patterson and his wife, Joyce of Owensboro; a niece, Darlene Marie Patterson of Owensboro; and several cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM and on Thursday from 12-2 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral service will be at 2 PM Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
