Gloria Nell Wathen

Mrs. Gloria Nell Wathen, 65, of 2820 Strawbridge Place, Owensboro, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born of Leon and Jessie Albright Kinman on January 2, 1938 in Monroe, LA. She retired from J.C. Penny, was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, enjoyed traveling, working in her flower garden, being with her family,and she was a faithful and loving wife and mother.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, William E. Wathen of Owensboro, three sons; Mike and Edward Earl Wathen of Owensboro, William Leon Wathen of Greenville, Ky., one daughter, Sara Kay Royal of Owensboro, seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Billy Eugene and Joe Willard Kinman, and one sister, Marilyn Sue McDonald all of Jackson,TN.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, at 2:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home,with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens, visitation will be from 12:00 Noon till 8:00 PM Sunday and after 9:00 AM Monday. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 319 West 10th Street, Owensboro, Ky. 42301
