GLORIA D. MORRIS BIVINS

Gloria D. Morris "Sissy" Bivins, 73, of 9154 Ky. Highway 405, Maceo, left this world for her heavenly home to be with the Lord, on Friday, July 18, 2008 at her home. She was born on November 1, 1934 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late James Henry and Bertha Mae Moore Morris. She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was a blessing and joy to those who knew her and was fun to be around. She and her husband Bobby enjoyed going to flea markets and having all the family gatherings. One of her greatest pleasures in life was all the little ones she babysat for through the years, especially one special little boy she cared for for a number of years that she dearly loved, Jay Johnston of Maceo. Her husband was a super caregiver and he was devoted to her well-being and happiness.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, James R. "Bobby" Bivins, three sons, Robert Lee Bivins and wife Sharon of Colorado Springs, Co., Richard Bivins and wife Janice of Maceo, and Gary Bivins and wife Jennifer of Owensboro, a daughter, Susan Gaddis and husband Robbie of Owensboro, nine grandchildren, Tara, Mike, and Joe Hartman, all of Colorado Springs, Stephanie Bivins and David of Maceo, Rick Rickard and wife Joanna of Maceo, Christina Lowe and husband Scott of Owensboro, Clinton Bivins and wife Jennie of Ft. Campbell, Casey Bivins of Owensboro, and Sarah Fitzgerald and husband B.J. of Whitesville, and 16 great grandchildren, a brother, Jimmie Ray Morris and wife Patsy of Owensboro, and a sister, Nancy Ratliff and husband Larry of Calhoun.

Services will be 12:00 P.M. Monday, July 21, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
