Glenn Mitchell Shaw, 83, of Owensboro, KY., died August 29th, 2012. He was born April 29th, 1929 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Silas Cebron and Ethyl Thompson Shaw. A graduate of Louisiana Tech with a degree in electrical engineering, he was employed by Texas Gas Transmission from 1952 until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nell Womack Shaw, a brother Elton of Manassas, VA., and a sister Evelyn Shaw Roach of Natchitoches, LA.
He is survived by his wife Betty Snyder Lett Shaw, three daughters, Kim Shaw of Evansville, IN., Jan Shaw Wink (Bart) of Philpot, and Jill Shaw Brown (Michael) of Brentwood, TN. Also surviving are a brother Meade Shaw (Gerri) of Elmer, LA., and a sister Genie Shaw Quinn (Ron) of Columbia, SC. Four grandchildren, Jarrod Wink (Jessica), Brennan Wink, Christopher Brown, and Jessica Brown. One great grandchild, Alexis Wink. Three step-children, Tom Lett of Lexington, J. R. Lett (Shirley) of Salado, TX., and Sheryl Lett Chapman (Rev. Gary) of Bowling Green. Ten step-grandchildren, and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
