Glenn Marion Helwig

Glenn Marion Helwig, 60, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro on August 10, 1963, to the late Kenneth and Josephine Renfrow Helwig. He graduated from Owensboro High School, worked at Wax Works, and then served as a security guard at the hospital. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Helwig, and brother-in-law, Alan Englehart.

Glenn is survived by his brother, Bill Helwig (Sally); two sisters, Becky Englehart and Vicki Marshall; nephews, Andy Englehart, Will Helwig (Rose), and Adam Marshall; nieces, Lee Hall, Amy Crabtree (Dale), and Kelly Englehart; and several great nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service for Glenn Helwig will be at 2:00 pm Monday, July 22, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. 

Expression of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
