Glendle Lee Boyken

Glendle Lee Jim Boyken, 71, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born January 21, 1934 in McLean County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Alma Nunley Boyken. Mr. Boyken was retired from Field Packing Company; was a member of the Harvest Baptist Temple; and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Rozella Jones Boyken; daughters, Gail and her husband Randy Smith and Doris Mayfield both of Owensboro and Rose Rich of Tallahassee, FL; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Harlan Boyken of Island, Hugh Boyken of Calhoun, and Clyde Boyken of Beaver Dam; a sister, Gwendella Riley of Owensboro; and half-brothers, Eugene Bray of Livermore, Donald Bray of Maceo, Roy Bray of Owensboro, and Tony Bray of Calhoun.

Services are 1 P.M. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dennie Campbell where visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Saturday and after noon on Sunday. Burial will be in Brushy Fork Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Glendle Boyken Memorial Fund.
