Glenda Lee Kirkwood

Glenda Lee Murphy Kirkwood, of Calhoun, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 26, 1936 to the late Lawrence and Hazel Johnson Murphy in McLean County. She attended Calhoun Church of Christ, was a homemaker, a member of Senior Citizens of Calhoun, and enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing bingo and keeping up with the soaps on TV with her friend, Betty Thomas of Sacramento.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Kirkwood. After their marriage, they moved to Detroit, MI and later made their home in Calhoun, KY

Survivors include her brothers and sisters; Robert Murphy of Owensboro, Billy Murphy of Calhoun, Anthony Murphy of Lewisport, Gary Murphy of Owensboro, Constance Black of Flint, MI, Karla Adams of Lewisport, Sandra Woolfolk of Providence and Vickie Murphy of Owensboro; several loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
