Glen Helton

July 29, 1916 — April 25, 2005

Glen Helton, 88, of 313 Cinderella Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Magoffin Co., Ky. and was retired from the Har-Ken Oil Co. after 47 years of service. He had been attending Owensboro Christian Church, was a member of the Joe Ellis Masonic Lodge #473 at Pleasant Ridge, really enjoyed his work and being outdoors. He also enjoyed bowling and hunting. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Helton in 1989.

Surviving is three daughters, Sue Wiggins and Janice Mitchell, both of Owensboro, and Barbara and her husband Dr. William Newman of Henderson, Ky., five grandchildren, Robin Acquisto of Lexington, Rocky Wiggins of Atlanta, Kriss White of Henderson, and Kelly White and Kim Hurt, both of Robards, Ky., 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, a sister, Grace Conley of Owensboro, and a brother, George Helton of Florida, and several nieces and nephews including Nancy Taylor of Owensboro, Virginia Fay Hughes of Texas, W. C. Helton of Calhoun, and Tommy Patton of Texas.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 27, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation wil be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
