Gladys Sharp Tipton

Gladys Sharp Tipton, 89, of Owensboro, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at the Liesure Years Nursing Home. The Deanfield native was a member of Third Baptist Church and the Vita Vota Sunday School Class. She retired from General Electric in 1975 after 30 years of service.

She is survived by a son, Robert Michael Tipton of Owensboro; a daughter, Gloria Beals of Owensboro; five grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Catron of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 12 noon, Ssaturday, May 11 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 P.M. on Friday and after 10 A.M. on Saturday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Third Baptist Church Building Fund.
